Relax and reconnect with nature
Our lodge, located in Curuzú Cuatiá, provides a perfect refuge for nature lovers and birding enthusiasts. Enjoy the serenity of 600 hectares of pristine landscapes as you search for the majestic Yellow Cardinal.
Our History and Identity
Yellow Cardinal Lodge is situated in a beautifully restored main house (casco) on Estancia La Choza, located in Curuzú Cuatiá, Corrientes, Argentina.
Since 1960, the ranch has protected and preserved the local flora and fauna across its entire expanse. This dedicated conservation allows guests today to admire the beautiful Yellow Cardinal, a native and currently endangered bird of the region. The careful protection and respectful observation of this species are fundamental to the lodge, making it an ideal destination for viewing birds and vegetation.
Today, the lodge is led by Norma and Teresita, two sisters who are passionately dedicated to ensuring a comfortable and warm stay. They offer not only comfortable facilities but also delicious, traditional Correntina cuisine.
Our lodge is the ideal place for rest and for the mindful exploration of nature in Curuzú Cuatiá.

"If you're looking to experience a typical Estancia main house, this is the place. It's a beautiful old house on a ranch in Corrientes, near Curuzú Cuatiá. The hostesses are very kind and knowledgeable about the birds that live in this area. A beautiful experience."

"I visited a few months ago with foreign birdwatching guests on a tour to the Iberá Wetlands from Buenos Aires. Beyond the excellent location and the ease of birding, which includes well-designed feeders and a hide, the excellence of the service truly stands out. This is a must-visit place for those who love watching and/or photographing wild birds in their natural environment. I will definitely be back."
